I joined yesterday for an unforgettable evening celebrating the 20th anniversary of The First Tee Greater Pasadena. I was the first original coach of this chapter. It's a wonderful junior golf program that impacts young people with life core values! It was a wonderful gala dinner event! I had a good time reconnecting with other coaches and board members! The program has grown so big!

There’s a reason they call it "The Gentleman’s Game." ⛳️![]()
One of the best things about golf is that it’s a game of integrity where you are often your own referee. Whether you’re just starting to find your swing or you’ve been chasing birdies for years, mastering the art of etiquette is just as important as mastering your short game.![]()
Being a great person to play with isn't about shooting under par; it’s about understanding the flow and traditions of the course. Here is a quick refresher on how to keep the vibes high and the game moving:![]()
🔇 The Power of Silence
Golf requires intense focus. When someone is over the ball, treat the tee box or the green like a library. Stay out of their line of sight, keep your shadow still, and save the chatter for the walk to the next hole.![]()
👟 Mind the Putting Line
The "line" is the invisible path between a player’s ball and the cup. Stepping on it can depress the grass and ruin a perfect putt. Always walk around a playing partner’s line—it’s the ultimate sign of a seasoned player.![]()
⏳ Keep Up the Pace
You don't have to rush your shots, but you should always be ready to play when it’s your turn. A good rule of thumb: stay "on the heels" of the group in front of you, rather than just staying ahead of the group behind.![]()
🌱 Leave the Course Better Than You Found It
We’re all just temporary guests on the grass. Replacing your divots in the fairway and fixing your ball marks on the green ensures the course stays beautiful for the players coming up behind you.![]()
👏 Sportsmanship First
A great shot is a great shot, regardless of who hits it. Celebrate your friends’ wins and keep a positive attitude even when the bunkers are calling your name.![]()
At the end of the day, golf is about the community we build between the hazards. Respect the course, respect your partners, and the game will always love you back. 🏌️♂️🌳
